Memhr is a cinematic remembrance of Memhr Kidane Tsegai Hailu, told through the voices and memories of the family who continue to carry his presence forward. Moving between Eritrea and Seattle, the film follows a son’s quiet search for the father he lost, returning to the landscapes that shaped his life and the stories that remain in those who loved him. Through fragments of memory, reflection, and observation, a portrait slowly emerges—not only of the man he was, but of the enduring ways a father continues to guide those who follow him. What begins as a search for one life becomes a meditation on memory, lineage, and the lasting ties between family, homeland, and belonging.
